Janey

There was a bassinet on clearance that has been purchased as a gift for us. The mattress has been on the shop floor for 4 years (unwrapped). Is this mattesss safe to use?

Hi Janey,

Thank you for contacting Red Nose with your question.

Red Nose recommends that you always use a mattress that is firm, clean, well-fitting & flat.
You can find more info at: https://rednose.org.au/article/what-is-a-safe-mattress

Does the mattress you are looking at meet those guidelines in the above article?

A mattress in a bassinet should be no thicker then 75 mm.

Kind regards
Red Nose
