The Mindful Circle

For those who have experienced the loss of a baby or child. A gentle space for reflection, connection and healing in Melbourne.

About The Mindful Circle

Each circle will look a little different, with a new focus each time. From mindful art, scrapbooking, journaling prompts, and guided meditation to sound healing, affirmations, aromatherapy, ambient lights, and more.

These circles are created for families who have experienced the loss of a baby or child. Whether your loss is recent or from many years ago, you are welcome here. This space is open to parents, siblings, grandparents, extended family members, and friends walking alongside someone they love.

This gathering is made even more meaningful through the beautiful connection and shared care between SMCT and Red Nose, two organisations deeply committed to supporting families through loss, remembrance, and healing. Together, this collaboration creates spaces where grief can be acknowledged gently and held with compassion.

After each session, you’re invited to enjoy a coffee and a gentle connection together at Café Vita El Flores.

Facilitated by Community Engagement Coordinator, Fotini, with many years of experience in mindfulness and healing.

Upcoming Dates:

All sessions run 11am – 12pm at The Centre of Care & Wellbeing, Springvale Botanical Cemetery

Mindful Journaling & Meditation Circle

Join me this month for a gentle and supportive Mindful Journaling Circle focused on holding and easing the grief we carry.

When we lose a child, there is a deep, often unspoken sorrow that lives in our hearts. Thoughts, feelings, and emotions can feel too heavy or too complicated to share, and because not everyone understands this kind of grief, we can feel isolated and alone.

Through a guided journaling practice, you will be invited to write a letter to your loved one, a way to express your love, sorrow, questions, or anything that needs to be said. There is no expectation to share what you write; this is for you alone.

Following the journaling, we will move into a guided meditation infused with healing sounds, offering a gentle opportunity to connect with your loved one and hold your grief with compassion.

A gentle reminder: Our community events are not formal support groups, but rather a space for all to come together, no matter where you are on your journey. Whether you’re navigating childlessness, trying to conceive, currently pregnant, or simply seeking a space for all to come together, no matter where you are on your journey. Whether you’re navigating childlessness, trying to conceive, currently pregnant, or simply seeking connection, everyone is welcome. We embrace the diversity of experiences and look forward to creating a warm, supportive space for all.
