Supporting grieving grandparents after the loss of a precious baby or child.
Grieving the loss of a grandchild comes with a unique kind of heartbreak — one that often carries the heavy burden of watching your own child experience unimaginable pain, while also coping with your own sorrow.
Our Melbourne In-Person Bereaved Grandparents Group offers a safe, warm and understanding space for grandparents to come together, share their experiences, and support one another. In partnership with Very Special Kids, these gatherings provide a gentle opportunity to connect with others who truly understand the unique grief of losing a grandchild.
Grieving the loss of a grandchild can feel incredibly isolating, whether your loss was recent or many years ago — you are warmly welcome to join us at any stage of your journey.
Some people come to listen quietly; others feel ready to share their story; you are welcome in whatever way feels right for you.
Facilitated by experienced Red Nose and Very Special Kids, these sessions offer comfort, compassion, and a non-judgemental environment where grief can be acknowledged and gently held within community. The group is inclusive and open to all types of loss
