Have you experienced the sudden death of your baby or child, where no cause was determined? Melanie Andrew-Manning, a researcher and Mylee’s mum, is inviting parents to share their experience of the coronial process and their views on donating samples for SIDS and SUDC research through an anonymous survey.
After Mylee died suddenly and unexpectedly at 15 and a half months old, Melanie returned to university, completed a Bachelor of Biomedical Science with honours, and is now doing her PhD to find answers into SIDS and SUDC. Read more on Melanie’s story.
Why SIDS and SUDC research needs parents’ voices
Your input will help guide future sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) and sudden unexplained death in childhood (SUDC) research in Australia, in a respectful and supportive way.
“It’s really important to me that we pave the way for future researchers to make SIDS and SUDC sustainable in this country. This is important work if we are to get SIDS and SUDC research reignited in Australia.”
Melanie, Mylee’s mum
