Amy Cooper
Chief Executive Officer
Amy joined Red Nose in January 2025. Amy brings extensive experience in the not-for-profit, health and industry body sectors. She has worked with some of Australia’s largest and most respected charities. Her ability to build high-performing teams is evident in the collaborative and innovative culture she fosters, driving growth and transformation within organisations.

Arthur Dimitropoulos
Chief Operations Officer
Arthur joined Red Nose with over 30 years’ experience in finance, strategy, acquisitions, analytics, and organisational performance across the not-for-profit, government, private and listed sectors. He has held senior leadership roles, including CFO, CIO, Company Secretary, and Non-Executive Director, with experience spanning healthcare, disability, logistics, retail, and professional services both in Australia and internationally

Arthur is responsible for ensuring Red Nose’s internal operations are effective, efficient and aligned with the organisation’s mission and strategic direction. His role includes oversight of financial sustainability, risk and compliance, and technology transformation.
He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA), is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (MAICD).

Margaret Polacska
Director of Prevention, Education and Research
Margaret has a background in project management, business development, fundraising, health promotion and peer support.

A bereaved parent, Margaret developed and delivered Red Nose’s pilot Hospital to Home program with her team, providing peer support and navigation to bereaved parents in the acute stages of grief following a stillbirth or neonatal death.
She was also a consumer member of Safer Care Victoria’s Safer Baby Collaborative faculty.
Margaret joined Red Nose from Sands Australia in November 2020.

Rachel Ficinus
Director of Bereavement Services
Rachel Ficinus is a registered psychologist with over 16 years’ experience working in mental health, youth and family counselling, and paediatric palliative care in the public health and not-for-profit sectors.

Rachel commenced at Red Nose in May 2020 and is responsible for clinical management of Red Nose’s Bereavement Services, ensuring we continue to provide high-quality and evidence-based bereavement support to all Red Nose families.

Alex Coles
Director of Social Enterprise
Alex joined Red Nose in March 2020 and leads our Clothing Collections Department and Social Enterprise work, combining financial rigour with a commitment to environmental sustainability, community and safe, values-led workplaces.

Alex trained as a master tailor in London before moving into Senior Leadership roles and establishing her own successful business consultancy focused on new company formations, brand, supply chain and investment acquisition.
Alongside this work, she founded and ran a private not-for-profit ex-farmed animal sanctuary, reflecting her lifelong commitment to caring for the voiceless.
She brings more than 20 years of global experience spanning retail operations, logistics, manufacturing, partnerships and social impact, with deep commercial acumen and a strong record of delivering sustainable growth, negotiating complex commercial agreements and stewarding significant investment decisions.
People are at the heart of everything she does; honouring the trust of our supporters and helping generate the vital funding that saves little lives and supports families when they need it most.
