Sarah

My 5.5mo is rolling from back to front confidently, however has not yet mastered front to back. On a few occasions I have found her sleeping on her stomach, and I roll her to her back however shortly after she just rolls back onto her stomach. What should I do to make sure she is safe? I am super worried/ terrified that one day I may not be aware that she has rolled onto her stomach. To add: She has amazing head support. She sleeps in an ergopouch sleeping bag with both arms out, in a cot in our bedroom, and there is nothing in her sleep space. During her wake windows we practice rolling from front to back, to develop this skill. Also, we tend to cover her hands overnight using the bonds hand covers to prevent her scratching her face. Is this OK?

Red Nose Education

Most babies will be rolling over by 4- 5 months. This is very normal as babies grow & become stronger.
Many babies then prefer to sleep on their side or tummy.
This is not something that needs to be stopped. It is important to make her new environment as safe as possible.

Still always place her on back for sleep.

Have a look at the article linked above (if you haven’t already)
The important issues you seem to have already addressed:
in her cot (not bassinet)
arms free - no longer swaddled.
cot mattress firm & flat & nothing loose or soft in cot.
* Always place baby on back for sleep (even when they are rolling)
