Bereavement Support Worker / Community Engagement Coordinator

  • Draw on your lived experience of baby or child loss to make a difference for bereaved families
  • Join a fantastic team, who love working together to achieve amazing things
  • Chifley office, flexible working including WFH (one day per week in office)
  • Part-time, 3 days (22.8 hours) per week – work Wed, Thurs, plus another day of your choice
  • SCHADS Award Level 4

This part-time position provides valuable support to Red Nose families in two different ways:

As a Bereavement Support Worker (2 days per week) - supporting individual families in the first six months of the loss to move through the myriad of difficult tasks associated with the death of their baby from stillbirth, termination for medical reasons, neo-natal death or SUDI; and

As a Community Engagement Coordinator (1 day per week) - providing the broader Red Nose bereavement community the opportunity to come together to connect and create a sense of belonging and inclusion.

Red Nose Community Advisory Committee (CAC) member role

Would you like to volunteer on the Community Advisory Committee at Red Nose?

Red Nose is seeking volunteers to join its Community Advisory Committee including key roles representing important regional and remote communities.

We are calling for new volunteer members now!

The Red Nose Community Advisory Committee (CAC) plays a crucial role in ensuring community engagement and equitable access to Red Nose services for all Australian families. As a member of the CAC, you’ll have the opportunity to advocate for diverse community groups, gather community ideas, and address issues of concern.

CAC members are appointed based on lived experience and represent diverse backgrounds, including First Nations people, culturally diverse communities and young mothers.

If you’re a collaborative individual, motivated to make a difference and advocate for community needs- we want to meet you!
