Bereavement Counsellor - ACT

  • Part time position
  • SCHADS level 5
  • Canberra, ACT

The Bereavement Counsellor reports to the Counselling Manager and is a member of the Red Nose Services team.

The primary focus of this position is to deliver timely and effective grief and bereavement counselling and support to individuals and families who have experienced the sudden and unexpected death of a baby or child from conception through to 18. This support is offered through formal counselling and support groups offered to families in Canberra and the broader ACT community.

Working closely with the Intake Services Team, the role provides client focused services that are evidence based and delivered as part of a culture founded in clinical and operational excellence.

Service promotion and education activities that focus on increasing both community and professional understanding of grief and bereavement associated with the death of a baby or child, may be required from time to time.

Casual Education Officer - WA

  • Casual position
  • SCHADS Level 3
  • Various locations

The Casual Education Officer reports to the National Education and Health Promotion Manager.

As part of the Red Nose Prevention, Education and Research team the primary focus of this position is to deliver educational presentations aligned with Red Nose’s evidence-based education messages around reducing the risk of sudden unexpected death of infants (SUDI).

The Education Officer will be required to present Red Nose educational material to groups such as early childhood educators, health professionals, parents, etc. and support other Red Nose activities such as Exhibitions and Red Nose Day activities with the aim of driving the Red Nose messages to as many people as possible.

Some interstate travel may be required of this position.

Collection Driver

RNCC currently operates in VIC and SA and are currently expanding into NSW. This role will be the first NSW RNCC employee.

  • Full time, 38 hours per week
  • Road, Transport and Distribution Award
  • Transport Worker Grade 2

This is an integral role for RNCC in supporting the successful expansion of RNCC into NSW.

The role is responsible for attending to collections of donations from resident’s homes as well as from corporate donors across Sydney, ensuring that stock is collected, delivered, unloaded, weighed, and recorded correctly.

Working alongside State managers in SA and VIC to help establish RNCC in NSW, the role also assists in trialling new processes for NSW collections including the use of new route planning maps, reporting feedback regarding the collections, assisting with zone management and the role will keep receipts for all costs (fuel/sundries).

As the face of our RNCC business in NSW, building excellent relationships is vital.

Would you like to volunteer on the Community Advisory Committee at Red Nose?

Red Nose is seeking volunteers to join its Community Advisory Committee including key roles representing important regional and remote communities.

We are calling for new volunteer members now!

The Red Nose Community Advisory Committee (CAC) plays a crucial role in ensuring community engagement and equitable access to Red Nose services for all Australian families. As a member of the CAC, you’ll have the opportunity to advocate for diverse community groups, gather community ideas, and address issues of concern.

CAC members are appointed based on lived experience and represent diverse backgrounds, including First Nations people, culturally diverse communities and young mothers.

If you’re a collaborative individual, motivated to make a difference and advocate for community needs- we want to meet you!
