Working with First Nation communities

We are committed to working in a meaningful and respectful way with First Nation communities to address the higher incidence of perinatal, baby and infant deaths that are experienced by indigenous families and to ensure our resources and knowledge reaches all people in a culturally safe and appropriate manner.

We work in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and other agencies to ensure our programs are effective, targeted and evidence-based.

Red Nose Australia acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land in which our staff, Board and committee members work, live and visit.

Our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Initiatives Working Group is made up of expert researchers, clinicians and community members who ensure our research, education and programs are culturally apppropriate and adequately represent our diverse community.
