Red Nose has achieved remarkable success in reducing the number of preventable deaths from sudden unexpected death in infancy through our evidence-based safe sleeping public health program
Advocacy & Research
To achieve our aim of reducing the number of preventable deaths, we support research into the causes and prevention of sudden infant and child death. Our advocacy role is focused on saving the lives of babies through prevention of deaths and learning from the experiences of bereaved families as well as evidence-based research.
Since 1988 Red Nose has contributed more than $18 million to research into the possible causes and prevention of sudden unexpected death in infancy and stillbirth.
