My precious twin boys, Jerrod and Zavier, are together forever.
They were born at 21 weeks on 27 and 28 January 2012. Although they were both born living, they were classed as stillborn - Jerrod lived just minutes and Zavier just under 3 hours.
I have a beautiful 16-year-old daughter, who was almost 6 years old when her brothers were born, and I now have a 6-week-old baby boy. I just know his brothers are watching over him.
So many parents have had to experience this loss, but it’s not talked about enough. I think it is so important to show one another and others love and support during this time. We are all suffering their loss. It isn’t just the parents; it’s those around them as well.
To other loss parents, I want you to know that you should talk about your babies whenever you want. Take as long as you need to grieve because that loss never goes away, and that’s ok.
Talking about my babies not only keeps their memory alive, but I know they can hear their mummy and know how much she misses them.
