Employees at tech company Brightstar have donated 118 teddy bears to support Red Nose families and raised $550 through a raffle.
Twelve employees in Melbourne and 106 in Sydney took part in a ‘Walking for Love’ activity in which people walk for at least 10,000 steps a day for 21 consecutive days.
As well as promoting health and fitness, the walks are usually dedicated to someone in need of support, encouragement and love, and this person is presented with a token, such as a teddy bear, at the end of the walk.
Red Nose will give the bears to families affected by grief and loss, including children whose sibling has passed away.
