Tuggeranong Netball Association (TNA) together with the Vikings Group, Red Nose and Bosom Buddies will attempt to claim a Guinness World Records title in a bid to raise funds for charity in Canberra this Saturday, 17 June.
TNA Turns Pink 3 will bring together ACT netballers for a marathon game from 8am to 6pm and will aim to set a record for the most number of players in an exhibition match – currently 1,322.
TNA is inviting participation from 30,000 local netballers as well as Federal and local political, sporting and community leaders to join a team for one or more 12-minute “quarters”. Canberra Liberals deputy leader Nicole Lawder and Labor backbencher Michael Pettersson have signed up to be in involved.
Teams of seven can register for $35, with the money going to the two charities. Additional donations are welcome.
