It was the seventh annual presentation made to Red Nose by ride organisers Lee and Bec Heslehurst, who created Sydney2CAMberra Ride after the tragic loss of Cameron, the son of friends Graham and Nadine Belfield, to stillbirth. Red Nose Deputy Chair Ian Burgess was on hand to accept the cheque on behalf of Red Nose.

Each year, dedicated cyclists undertake a two-day ride from Sydney to Canberra, in an effort to raise funds for vital research, education and counselling support for bereaved families.

This year the ride raised $230,000 – with $115,000 donated to Red Nose and $115,000 donated to the Stillbirth Foundation.

Each year the ride concludes with a gala dinner for riders, sponsors and supporters. This year’s dinner included a special video message from Red Nose Ambassadors The Wiggles to the event participants.
