The Wiggles have today released a limited-edition plush toy collection in aid of Red Nose Day, helping to save little lives.
Available in-store at BIG W and online via the Red Nose Day shop, the plushie range features iconic Wiggly characters donning red noses - Dorothy the Dinosaur (mini and large), Henry the Octopus, Shirley Shawn the Unicorn and Wags the Dog (mini and large). Also joining the line-up this year is an adorable mini Captain Feathersword!
Sales will further Red Nose’s mission to eradicate sudden and unexpected infant deaths by funding research, education programs and 24/7 support services for grief-stricken families.
Blue Wiggle, Anthony Field, said this is a cause very close to the heart of The Wiggles.
“For over 30 years, The Wiggles have thrown our support behind Red Nose Day. Our commitment to this wonderful cause is underpinned by the tragic loss of my niece Bernadette to SIDS in 1988,” Blue Wiggle Anthony Field said.
“The Wiggles are the masters of play – so we can’t wait to get silly for this serious cause on Red Nose Day.”
Purple Wiggle, John Pearce, who is expecting his first baby later this year encouraged everyone to show their support.
“Red Nose Day has saved over 12,000 little lives over the past 36 years. But, with 3,000 little lives still lost every year suddenly and unexpectedly, Red Nose Australia still needs our support!” He said.
“We’re really proud of our Wiggly Red Nose Day plushies and all the proceeds will help to save little lives and support grieving families.”

“Losing a child is every parent’s worst nightmare. Unfortunately, I know that from firsthand experience, having lost my son Ben to SIDS in 1998. Every cent raised by Red Nose Day will go towards research and education to save little lives, as well as support services for grieving families.”
Red Nose Day Wiggly character mini plush toys are sold for $10 each and are available online now or in-store at BIG W from 5 August – 5 September. The large Dorothy and Wags plushies are sold for $25 each or $45 for a bundle of two and are available exclusively in the Red Nose Day Online Shop.
