Red Nose Education

Red Nose & Product Safety do not recommend a pram or stroller as a safe sleep environment, particularly if not supervised.
If a baby or child falls asleep in a pram they need to be transferred to their regular sleep place.
Most prams are the size of a bassinet & would not be suitable/large enough for sleeping a baby who is rolling or older. (especially a 2yo)

Bassinets (or similar devices eg prams) are not to be used for sleep in any Child Care Service.

Once a child is too old for a cot (usually when they are attempting to climb from the cot) they need to be placed for sleep on a floor bed/mattress.
