Hello, I'm planning to buy a certified organic cot mattress for my newborn. However, products on the market often contain a "pebble cover" which has large contoured bumps all over the top of the mattress. Red Nose states that cot mattress should be flat - are pebble covers safe for young babies? [For an example of a pebble cover, see https://milariorganics.com.au/products/milari-green-baby-mattress?variant=31023596666925).

Red Nose Education

Red Nose recommends that a mattress is firm, clean, well-fitting & flat (not elevated)

As long as this mattress fits your cot appropriately, & is firm & is the right height for the cot is would be suitable for use.
Please review all information on Red Nose web site about mattresses.

Does the company say that this mattress meets voluntary standards for firmness?
