Hello my 9 week old daughter has been wiggling over to the edge of the bassinet and putting her face up against it which has me worried for suffocation, my friend said to put something under it so I put a folded wrap under both sides that may lift it to 1cm and she now stays in the middle of the bassinet, is that safe? I’m worried about sids it has me scared every time I wake up

Red Nose recommends that baby sleep on a firm, clean, well-fitting and flat mattress. (not elevated in any way)
Red Nose also recommends that once bay is rolling, they should be moved to a cot.
Are the sides of the bassinet padded?

It is essential to discontinue wrapping as soon as baby starts showing signs that they can begin to roll, usually between 4-6 months.
If you wrap your baby, consider baby’s stage of development.
Leave arms free once the startle reflex disappears around 3 months
If you are using a bassinette it is time to transfer your baby into a cot as soon as they first show signs of being able to roll       https://rednose.org.au/article/what-do-we-do-now-that-a-baby-has-started-to-roll-over
