Hey, a friend is wanting to use a Cozigo over her pram and also over her bassinet on the plane in a few weeks with her 6 months old and I couldn’t find whether it was Red nose approved. Can someone please let me know if these are considered safe or not? Thanks

Red Nose Education

Red Nose does not approve or endorse any specific products as safe.
There is also no Australian Mandatory Safety standards for this type of product.
Red Nose does not recommend covering prams, bassinets or cots while baby is sleeping.
This can reduce the airflow to baby, increase temperature & some reduce (or remove) the ability to see baby.

CPR Kids, who are based in Sydney but educate in all States, have been looking at this issue of pram covering & have some good information in links below.

Prams are not a safe place for baby to sleep, especially when unsupervised.
Never leave baby unattended in a pram or a stroller - it is not a safe substitute for a cot.

Is this baby rolling?
Remember, that once baby is rolling, they should not be placed in a bassinet for sleep.

How long is the plane trip?
