Hi . My baby is 13 months old and I want to move from our bedroom into there own baby room next door with a baby monitor . My partner has a lot of anxiety with that and won’t do it . Is there any information you can provide to ease her concerns ?

Red Nose Education

Moving baby into their own room can bring about anxiety for some parents.
Red Nose recommends room sharing with parents/carers for the first 6 months or up to 12 months.
Many parents are unable to room share after 6 months as they are unable to fit a cot in their room.

The first 6 months is the time of greatest risk to baby of Sudden Unexpected Death in Infancy, which does not occur after 12 months by definition. (SUDI & SIDS is sudden unexplained, death of a baby less than 12 months of age, usually in the sleep environment)
