Hi, are metal cots in Australia safe? Looking to purchase a cot made from Powder coated steel but wanted to make sure it was still safe for the baby and didn’t pose and extra risks as a pose to timber. Thanks https://www.mocka.com.au/sonata-cot-bronze/

Red Nose Education

Red Nose recommends to always use a cot that meets Mandatory Australian Standards.
Only use a single, firm, mattress that fits snugly (within 20 mm of sides and ends) into the cot. The mattress must be flat (not tilted or elevated). Do not use cot bumpers or soft bedding as these have been associated with fatal sleep accidents.
