Hi - does anyone know if magic merlin sleep suits are safe from a SIDS risk perspective? Also, my baby hates being cold. As we move into winter, is it safe to use a heat pad to warm the crib / change time, and then remove before putting the baby down on it (ie keep the heating pad on until it's time to put them down, then take it off)?

Red Nose Education

Red Nose does not have any specific information about this product.
Ensure the sleep suit fits properly & there is no risk of suit sliding up to cover baby’s head & face.
How old is your baby?
What State are you from?

Red Nose recommends using a safe sleeping bag, when you can add or remove clothing under the sleep bag during warmer or colder months.

Red Nose does not recommend using any form of heating in the baby’s bed due to risk of overheating.
Why do you think your baby is cold? The feel of baby’s hands &/or feet are not a good indicator of baby being cold.
