Kat

Hi, I’m just wondering what age you can transition from sleeping bag to blankets? And also what age toddlers can sleep with their toys/comforter? I have a 16 month old sleeping in a cot. Thank you!

Red Nose Education

Red Nose recommends that you can use a sleeping bag until baby is in a bed.
At this stage it is best not to use a sleeping bag as baby might trip & fall when they get up from their bed.

A soft toy can be placed in baby’s cot after 7 months.
Soft toys should never be placed in the sleeping environment of an infant under seven months of age. Soft objects in the cot can be a suffocation risk

Ensure that as baby gets older, they cannot use multiple soft toys (or other soft products) to assist them climb over the side of the cot.
