Michelle

Hi, I’m just wondering what information you have on newborns sleeping in bassinets and how to promote safe sleeping in a bassinet? Thanks!

Red Nose Education

It is important to know that there are no mandatory standards for bassinets in Australia.
However, Product Safety does have some information (buying tips) in relation to bassinets.

Red Nose also has comprehensive information on bassinets, which includes their suitability for use for a short period of time only.
Once baby is showing signs of being able to roll, it’s time to move baby to a safe cot – this is usually around four months, but it will depend on your baby.

Information includes safety, risk & how to set up.
