Briana

Hi, I'm the Coordinator of a childcare centre. Our current cots have the standard AS/NZS 2130. Are these cots suitable for a childcare setting or do they need upgrading? On research I can see that they are suitable for Day nursery, hospital and institutional use. I'm just not sure if they meet the childcare requirements. Thanks.

AS/NZS 2130 is an old Standard (1998) The current Standard for cots is AS/NZS 2172
I’m not sure changes have occurred with cots that meet AS/NZS 2172 standard, but ACECQA & NSW Dept of Ed are very clear that cots must meet current Mandatory Standards.
