Hi, my 2 week old sleeps in a sleeping bag in her bassinet. I have been finding her wriggled over towards the mesh netting at the side of the bassinet towards me. She is always placed in the middle on her back. Although not ideal, is the mesh netting intended to allow breathing in such circumstances? It makes me really anxious during the night.
Red Nose Education
Many babies do wriggle & squirm & can be quite active & will move around the bassinet.
Many of these babies will end up at the side of the bassinet. It is important that the sides are mesh & not soft/padded, as you have.
Also, some babies do not respond well to swaddling/wrapping.
Sometimes it is because they like hands free to touch their face or suck on fingers.
Continue to place her on her back for sleep. She may still want to wriggle to the side of bassinet. As long as her head & face remail uncovered, it is not a concern, but if she seems to be attempting to get to her side, then it is important to manage as if she is rolling (regardless of age)

Are you swaddling/wrapping her? What are you using as a swaddle?
Are you able to try her with her arms out of the swaddle or cease swaddling?
You could try moving your baby to a cot with more space, as well.
Sometimes these babies are more settled with arms out & the space of a cot.
Have you started tummy time when awake?
