Red Nose Australia

Hi CJ,

Hi, my daughter is 3 months and trying to find a portacot that is safe so that we can go away for a couple of nights.
Can you please point me in the right direction as to which ones are safe?

Red Nose recommends using a portable cot that meets mandatory Australian Standards. AZ/NZS - 2195 for Portable cots.
When assembling, it is important to follow manufacturers instructions.

Only use the firm, thin, well-fitting mattress that is supplied with the portable cot.
Never add a second mattress or additional padding under or over the mattress, which has been specifically designed for the portacot,
as baby may become trapped face down in gaps between the mattress and the sides….........
Do not use a portable cot if your child weighs more than 15kg (or check instructions of your particular model).
