Ruth

Hi, We are about to have a newborn. They will be sleeping in a co-sleeper bassinet next to our bed. Is it okay if the bassinet is place between our bed and our window? Thanks

Red Nose Education

Red Nose has some helpful information on safer use of bassinets.

Product Safety.
https://www.productsafety.gov.au/products/babies-kids/kids-furniture/bassinettes

There is no specific evidence that would suggest it is unsafe for a baby’s bassinet to be near a window, however, ensure, that it is not within reach of any curtains or blinds on the window.
Remember, that there are no Mandatory Safety Standards for bassinets in Australia.
