Theresa

I have a koodi pop up tracke bassinet that I bought when my babe was small for family visits- she’s now 4.5m and has started rolling back to belly this week. Wondering if this travel bassinet is still safe to use now? I assumed not but the site I bought it from said it’s good until 6 month or when baby can sit unaided. Advise would be much appreciated- thanks

Red Nose Education

Red Nose recommends that once a baby is rolling they need to be moved from bassinet to cot & to cease swaddling.
Baby needs arms free & the space of a cot to roll safely.

Once baby is showing signs of being able to roll, it’s time to move baby to a safe cot – this is usually around four months, but it will depend on your baby

It’s essential to stop wrapping as soon as baby starts showing signs that they can begin to roll, usually between 4-6 months. If you wrap baby, consider baby’s stage of development. Leave arms free once the startle reflex disappears around 3 months.
