I purchased a ‘full lie flat for naps’ travel pram for my 4 month old to fly interstate with me for a funeral. It is a reputable brand. Whilst not ideal to nap in a pram, I thought it would be helpful for the baby to take naps in at the airport and whilst I’m at the funeral. However upon delivery and set up, the lie flat is still at a 30 degree angle. Is this considered unsafe for babies?

Firstly I am very sorry to hear that you are needing to attend a funeral. Wishing you and the family gentle days.
In regards to the pram, yes you are correct that we don’t not recommend babies to sleep in prams from long periods as prams are designed as travel devices not sleep devices. However, we do understand that sometimes babies will fall asleep in a pram whilst out and about. The most important thing here is to actively supervise baby, make sure straps are fastened and the brakes enabled. Keep baby as flat as possible and ensure baby is not in a “chin on chest” position. Keep these sleeps to a minimum and be sure to get baby out of the pram as soon as possible.
