Is it safe for a baby to sleep with mittens on? My 4 month old has recently started scratching his head and face and I want to prevent this.

Red Nose has no specific information about the use of mittens for a 4 mth old.
Some general concerns might be if the mittens were to come off &/or if baby wanted to suck on fingers - could they pose a choking risk?
