Is it safe for toddler to still wear sleeping bags in toddler bed thinking transitioning my daughter to toddler bed soon and would like to continue using her sleeping bags if safe to do so.?

Hello Iesha,

When we transition our babies into toddler beds we need to remember that they have greater access to things within the bedroom but also, throughout the living areas. Have a look around and pay special attention to potential hazards that may result in accidental injury, drowning, falls, strangulation, entrapment or poisoning. You can absolutely continue to use a safe sleep bag for your baby - particularly if they are comfortable using them.

The main thing to think about is that once your baby is in a toddler bed, they are at a greater risk of falls in a sleeping bag because when they wake, they will get up and want to come to you.
Ensure you remove the sleep bag once your baby has woken up to help prevent this.

Enjoy this special time with your busy toddler!

Best wishes,
Jane x
