Looking for the safest space heater for my 9 month olds room. We live in a very cold part of the country and the cooler temperatures are waking Bub up. Need a solution that will accomodate when she’ll move into a bed and can move more independently unsupervised.

Red Nose Education

Red Nose does not endorse specific products, but has the following information in relation to room temperature.
It is not necessary to monitor the room temperature or to leave the heating or cooling on all night, as long as the baby is dressed appropriately for the room temperature.

A useful guide is to dress baby as you would dress yourself: to be comfortable, neither too hot nor too cold. If baby has a minor illness and has a temperature it is common for parents or carers to overdress baby for sleep but in fact, fewer bedclothes should be used or, at times, none at all. If parents or carers are worried that baby is ill they should talk to their baby’s doctor and have the baby assessed.

It is important to ensure room doesn’t get too hot & that baby is not able to access the heater or powerpoints once they are out of the cot.
