My 7 month old was previously a good sleeper. She decided one day she didn’t want to do it anymore. She wakes constantly through the night. I generally find her on all fours or on her tummy when she wakes. People keep staring it’s a regression. Is this correct and if so any suggestions on how to minimise her wake up as it’s now affecting her normal routine and mood.
Red Nose Education
Red Nose information is mostly about safety & sleep.
However, it is not uncommon for baby’s sleep patterns to change over time.
Most babies will be rolling over by 4- 5 months. Some earlier, some later.
This is very normal as babies grow & become stronger.
Many babies then prefer to sleep on their side or tummy.

Is your baby now in a cot & no longer swaddled/wrapped?
Babies need arms free & the space of a cot to roll well.
How does she go with tummy time when awake?
Is your baby warm enough?
As far as waking regularly during the night, it would be best to chat with your local Maternal/Child health nurse or contact one of the local State services eg Karitane/Tresillian/Maternal Child Health.
