My 9 month-old baby has recently transitioned to a cot from a co-sleeper. During the night, he is moving around a lot in his cot, often bumping into the sides of the cot and poking his arms and legs outside of the cot. What would you suggest I do for him to limit his movement during the night for sleeping? Would placing him in a sleep bag with his arms out help? Would putting the mesh you can purchase around the cot stop him from poking his arms or legs out of the cot? Thank you

Red Nose Education

Its not unusual for babies to roll & hit the sides of cot or to get arms or legs through the slats. Most seem to do this at some stage.
Red Nose does not recommend using anything that restrains or limits movement.

A safe sleeping bag (with arms out) is often helpful to reduce baby getting legs through the slats, but mostly they seem to “grow out of it”
