When room sharing with baby for 6-12 months, does the cot have to be next to the bed, or can it be at the foot of the bed - most of the references to the studies seems to say next to the bed? Thank you!

Room sharing is recommended for the first 6-12 months. As long as the baby is in the same room as parents/caregiver then this meets the guidelines for Room Sharing.
