We have received lots of requests from the community with people asking how they can help families from home right now. Here are a few ideas….
Clean out your wardrobe
Stay active at home by cleaning out your wardrobe and donating your pre-loved clothing and household goods to Red Nose.
Red Nose Clothing Collection is a social enterprise within Red Nose. We work with partners in Victoria and South Australia to collect and recycle pre-loved clothes and household items. The proceeds are then reinvested into our research and education programs and support services for families impacted by the death of a baby or child.
Sort your closet now ready for when our Collection services open up again soon.
Sew, knit or crochet for Treasured Babies
Do you knit, crochet or sew? Why not join our Treasured Babies Program?
Treasured Babies is a special group of volunteers who sew, knit, crochet and assemble precious handmade garments and handmade Angel boxes and keepsakes for parents who have lost a baby or child.
Find out how you can get involved
Become a peer supporter or volunteer
Red Nose is currently recruiting up to 50 new Peer Supporters to help provide support via our 24/7 Support Line and online services. Our Peer Supporters are trained volunteers who use their own experience of grief following the loss of a baby or child to help other grieving parents navigate their journey of grief.
Make a donation
Make a donation today to help keep our services open and free. Coronavirus is having an unprecedented impact on Red Nose and its community, with significantly increased demand for services against a backdrop of an 80 per cent reduction in income.
We are doing everything we can weather this storm, but we need your help to keep as many of our services as possible open and free for families. Your support will help to provide a vital lifeline for grieving families, and families with young children through this crisis.
Create an iso-fundraising challenge
Get creative and ask your friends and family to sponsor you to complete an iso-challenge. Set up an online fundraising page and raise money for research, education and bereavement support services, all from the comfort of your couch.
Share your story
Sharing your story is an important way of helping other grieving families to navigate their journey of grief by showing them that hope and healing is possible. It’s also a beautiful way to honour and acknowledge your baby or child.
