Tips When Reaching Out to Your MP
Your local government representative is there to support the needs of their constituents, so it’s important to make your request clear and personal. If you’ve been supported by Red Nose, the most powerful way to get their attention is by sharing your own journey with Red Nose. Tell them how Red Nose has helped you and why the services we offer are essential, not optional.
What Should I Say?
Fund Red Nose’s Essential Services
Thousands of grieving families are about to lose the ONLY national 24/7 Support Line available to bereaved parents.
For nearly 50 years, Red Nose Australia has been a lifeline to families facing unimaginable loss, offering a 24/7 support line, expert counselling, and community programs. But now, that lifeline is at risk. Without immediate Federal Government funding, these vital services could be reduced or even shut down by 30 June.
This means:
No more 24/7 Grief Support Line – When parents can’t sleep or wake up overwhelmed with sadness, there will be no one to call.
No more expert counselling or support groups – Families will be left to navigate their grief alone.
Over 13,000 families will be left without a lifeline, including those already receiving our support, who will no longer have access to continued care.

Once you’ve emailed or called your MP, please share your message on Facebook and Instagram. Tag Red Nose @RedNoseAustralia or @RedNoseGriefandLoss and use the hashtag #GRIEFis247.
Please consider making a donation to keep our support services going, while we campaign for funding. Thank you.
