What can I do to sleep my baby safely?

Hi, my baby is just over five months and can roll from her back to her tummy. We put her to bed on her back and often find her sleeping on her side and just leave her. Lately, however, she has started to roll onto her tummy for sleep but she cannot roll from her tummy to back. Should we just leave her or keep rolling her to her back or side until she can roll from tummy to back? She also sleeps in a bassinet with mesh sides that allow air flow. Should we be transferring to a cot soon if she can roll? Thank you.

I’m just wondering with the new bonds wondercool suits what is the suggested way to use it is it just the same as any other outfit if using a tog rating sleeping bag?

Hello, My 4.5 month old has started rolling onto his tummy in his sleep. He is in a sleeping bag with his arms out and sleeps in a cot in our bedroom. Do I need to roll him back over onto his back? I’m worried that he’s still at an age where SIDS is a higher risk which terrifies me. He also struggles to roll himself back into his back. Thank you!

My daughter is 16 months old & she is obsessed with pillows. I am wondering if it is ok for me to put a pillow in her cot & if so, what pillow is recommended? She currently sleeps per SID guidelines with nothing excepr her ergopouch sleeping bag.

Hi, my daughter is 6 months old tomorrow and she has a new found preference of flipping herself in her sleep during the night. I have been flipping her back over the right way but majority of time she wakes up and have to put her back to sleep (takes an hour or so) Should i not be worried as she is a little older and needs her sleep or should i continue to wake her up??

Hi, we have a 5 week old baby who is extremely active. We have been swaddling him because the Moro reflex disturbs his sleep but he is able to get out of his swaddle when we swaddle his arms. As a result we have been swaddling only from the waist down, as we are concerned that he could bring the fabric over his face, when he is freeing his arms. We occasionally swaddle his arms when we are walking around with him to soothe him and he does find this soothing. We were wondering whether Red nose consider the sleep suits safe where the baby's arms are swaddled near their faces, such as the Love to Dream brand, as we were thinking something like that might help. The other thing is he is already trying to roll when we put him in his basinette and trying to sleep on his side. We have been pinning him down flat on his back by tucking him in with a swaddle, down the sides of the basinette. I am wondering if the Love to Dream suits would reduce the chances of him rolling or whether it would be unsafe to have his arms restricted if he did try to roll wearing the suit?

Good Morning, I am after advice for safe sleeping practices, we are a child care centre and a parent in our nursery has asked if we can do the following when her child goes down for sleep: Put the baby in a sleeping bag, once the child is in the sleep bag, swaddle him in a cotton wrap and then put him under 3 blankets made out of bamboo. Our sleep room is air conditioned and at 24 degrees however it is a lot of weight on top of him? We would love some guidance/advice on this please. Kind regards Robyn

We have a baby due soon and heat waves in Sydney, no aircon. Our place inside can be in the 26-29 range. Do we still put a singlet on baby and use fan? Or nothing on just nappy plus fan?

Hi there, I have a question regarding dummy chains, my understanding is that under Australian national guidelines all dummy chains sold in Australia are an appropriate length for them to be left on during sleep. Does this align with the red nose safe sleeping guidelines?

My son and his wife are expecting twins in March. Do you have some guidelines or info sheets about cribs/cots and sharing sleep space (how to let them be near each other or together safely), particularly if bedroom space is limited? Also, is it safe to stack one cot mattress on top of another (matching mattresses) in a wooden cot to raise the height of the babies to save bending. Mum is 6ft tall. Thank you.

Hi, I a looking at purchasing a babyhood cozy crib for my baby grandchild when it comes to visit (not yet born) . I am wondering if it is SIDS approved ? Thanks for your advice , Judy
