Hi there, we have a week old baby who we are trying to figure out clothing for during night time. At the moment we have him with a singlet, long and long suit (with exposed feet), a 1 tog sleep bag and he is swaddled over the top with a jersey wrap. It is currently 13 degrees, but room temp is set to 22 degrees. Are we dressing him in too much? We’ve tried multiple combinations, but can’t seem to find what works. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

We are travelling for a few weeks in January and we will be sharing a room with our then 10 month old. Hi there, My 6 month old is exceptionally active in bed and will ‘slug’ on his tummy around up into all corners and crevices of the bed, often banging his head hard against the cot and making himself upset, or getting his hands tangled in the bars. I know for bumpers are not safe. Hi there, I just recently purchased a second hand Cocoon Snuggle Time Cosleeper. I completely forgot about the 4 mesh / breathable sides safety requirements, however can see that it has been tested under the EU standards. For peace of mind, do you recommend I get rid of this one and replace it with a bassinet that has 4 open sides? First time mum and unsure what is ok! Thank you!

I have a cozee bassinet (mattress size 80.5 x 51cm x 4cm) my 8 week old is 57cm. I swaddle her and put her down the bottom in the middle. When we wake for mid night feeds she has managed to wriggle her way to the side of the Bassinet with her head close to the edges. Is it time for the cot? The cot is in a different room and my house is large so just worried she will be far from me while she is so young

I always place my 7 month old on his back in his cot, and he rolls onto his side or tummy to sleep. When I fed him at 5am this morning I realised he had vomited some of his dinner (toast) while in his cot. Last night at 8pm I thought I heard something, but he looked fine on the monitor. So now I assume that's when he vomited. I'm pretty shaken that he could've choked on that vomit, and I wouldn't have realised. In your materials, you talk about how it's much safer for an infant to vomit on their back, rather than on their tummy. Is this still the case at 7 months old? Is it just that there's nothing I can do about this potential problem?

6.5 month will push herself from bottom of cot to the top and wake up crying from bumping her head multiple times a night. I’m getting up 2-4 times to settle and move her back to bottom of cot. I know bumpers aren’t sleep safe so any other suggestions??

Our brand new baby (6 days old) is currently sleeping in a bassinet. We've had a couple of instance where we've come in and he's been sleeping on his side even though we placed him on his back. This was the position that he was in in the womb - so perhaps he likes it. We aren't sure what to do about this. Do we move him back each time he does this? Do we need to wake up throughout the night to check on this?

Are soft toys (a plush rabbit) suitable in the cot for a 10 month old? What about the Riff Raff toys - are they okay to have in the cot while baby is sleeping?

Hi there, I’m hoping I can ask for some advice regarding safe sleeping for my son. My son is 7.5 months (6.5 months corrected). In the last month or so he has learnt to roll from his back to his tummy (only rolling to his left though). He can’t yet roll from back to tummy via his right side, nor can he roll from tummy to back at all yet. Whenever we put him down to sleep we put him on his back. Lately, when falling asleep, and sometimes during the night he rolls onto his tummy. Most of the time he is awake when this happens or wakes himself up and gets very upset / grizzly so we go and roll him back onto his back. Occasionally he does this in his sleep and when we check the monitor through the night we realise he’s asleep on his tummy - generally his face is to the side but sometimes he is almost face down. While he cannot roll onto his back, he is quite strong and able to push up on his arms when on his belly. Given this, is the advice still to keep rolling him onto his back whenever we notice he has rolled onto front? (Whether he’s awake and grizzly or asleep and content?). Any advice would be welcome! Including any advice on how to discourage him from rolling in his cot in the first place (because he loves to roll but gets unhappy on his belly, it can take 30-45 mins of constantly rolling him back before he falls asleep).
