Can I put a newborn straight into large cot with a bassinet level instead of using a bassinet?

Yes, you can. Just ensure baby’s feet are at the foot of the cot so baby cannot wriggle under blankets.

Remember also, to move base to lower level before baby is able to stand - good guide would be if baby can pull up on side &/or able to sit unaided. Follow Manufacturer’s instructions.
If you are concerned that they might be able to pull up on sides, then lower the base.
