Jo

My 8 month old sleeps with a Jellycat comforter and he pulls the blanket part over his face to soothe himself during the night. This makes me quite anxious and I creep into his room to take it off his face. Is it Ok to leave this with him at 8m old? He is capable of removing it etc however I’m worried of suffocation risk.

Red Nose Education

Red Nose recommends that baby sleeps with head & face uncovered, particularly in the first 12 months.

I think if you are concerned about him pulling the blanket part of the comforter over his face when settling, then it is preferable for you to change his comforter to one that is not going to cover his face.
