Helen

My daughter has 15 week old twins ( age adjusted to 8 weeks due to prematurity). It has been suggested that she leave a T shirt worn by herself or her husband in their cots if she leaves the babies in the care of anyone else, so that they can smell Mum and/or Dad. We all feel that this would not be a recommended practice as it means there would be loose items in the cot. Can you please comment on this? Thank you

Red Nose Education

I agree with you.
Red Nose recommends keeping loose/soft objects from the cot to reduce the risk of baby’s head & face being covered.
