Hi, my baby is four months and sleeps in a sleeping bag, the last two weeks he is constantly rolling onto his tummy, tonight he woke him self up and rolled onto his tummy without our knowledge and when we found him he was very upset and blue around the mouth, how can we help him sleep safely as he cannot roll back onto his back yet, thank you
Hi, following the recent Choice testing of portable cots, and their detection of serious problems with most cots, I have very little confidence in buying and using a portable cot. Does Red Nose have any advice following the Choice testing? https://www.choice.com.au/babies-and-kids/baby-transport/portable-cots/articles/portacots-fail-mandatory-and-voluntary-australian-standards
My baby is 15 weeks old. When he does tummy time, he can now roll from his stomach to his back. He sleeps in a Love to Dream or Ergo sleep bag where his arms are inside, and this seems to work for him. But is there a risk that he could now start rolling from his back to stomach during sleep? Should I have his arms out?
My 4 week old baby no longer likes her hands being swaddled for sleep. I am now placing her in a safe sleep bag with her arms out or wrapping her torso with a muslin, leaving her arms free. She is always in a long sleeve to sleep and I use the built in hand covers so she cannot scratch herself and to keep her hands warm. She usually has her hands above her head to sleep. Her core is warm when I check her, but her hands, even though covered, are always cold to touch. Is this something I should be concerned about? If so, what recommendations do you have to keep them warm? I don’t put mittens on her because I worry they will come off and end up on/covering her mouth/nose.
