Hi there. I have a ten week old baby and o don’t know how to get her bedding right for qld temperatures. The room temp is 24-26 degrees at night. I dress her in a bonds short sleeve no-leg suit, a miracle wrap swaddle (I think the 1 tog ergo sleeping bag might be too warm for her), sheet and cot blanket al tucked in to the bottom of the cot. I am on a forum that talks a lot about layering blankets and sheets and they seem to have much more bedding than I do. Can you please help? I’m very fearful of overheating her!

My 7 week old is constantly moving herself up the bassinet. We have her swaddled and a tight sheet over her the bottom of the bassinet, but she still keeps pushing herself up the bassinet. We have tried without a sheet but she stills moves up. Is it okay to let her sleep at the top or should we keep moving her back down?

Hi there, I work as a childcare educator in the babies room as a trainee and have just been reading your website. Educators who have been working with children for 15+ years have recommended placing sleeping babies on their tummy because they ‘prefer it’ but after reading your website I was very surprised that a baby in fact should not be placed on its tummy to sleep. The centre I work at is very nice and goes by all policies and procedures and even exceeds in the standards by assessors. I was just wandering since I’m a casual and haven’t been working at the centre for very long compared to them, how I might raise awareness about this? I am very surprised and shocked that there has never been any of this information given to me in my 18 months working there. Thank you very much and kind regards.

Hi Is it safe for baby 4 months plus to wear mittens to bed? My baby wants his hands in his mouth all the time and has started pulling his sleeping sack over his face.

Master 6 months won’t settle on his back in his cot. We put him to sleep on his back and immediately roll onto his side. He can roll back to front (from 4 months he learnt this) and worm crawl to get around. He has only rolled independently from his front to back a few times (that we’ve seen). He can lift his head/body to the point he is constantly up on his hands and feet trying to be on the move. No mater how long he has been asleep, as soon as you roll him he will wake up and roll back.m. I am unsure what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi my baby is 9 weeks old & I wake up with her Wiggled down to the end of the bassinet side ways at the bottom . She’s in love dream swaddle and not rolling yet .

Hello, I’m wondering whether our mattress protector is too padded & therefore making the cot too soft & compromising its safety? Mattress fits well & is firm but definitely feels softer once the mattress protector (and fitted sheet) are on.
