Hello, what is the advice around babies sleeping in car capsules? It looks really practical to be able to take the baby in the capsule and then clip it on to the pram but is it safe for the baby to stay in the capsule e.g to go to the shops, and for how long? Thanks so much

My newborn has been sleeping in a sleeping bag. At night, we are finding her shuffled down all the way to the bottom of her bassinet with her legs sticking out between the bars. After a while this ends up getting her frustrated and wakes her up. Is there any way to prevent this?

My 10mo is a tummy sleeper and has been since around 6 months old. Always put down on her back and rolls over immediately. At first I rolled her back, now leave her. Sometimes she has her face down or leaning into the matress. I watch closely and she moves it after a few seconds, should I be as worried as I am? She has no blankets, sleeps in an ergo sleeping bag. I follow safe sleep 100%, I’m wondering what I can do about her face down antics.. please help

Hi red nose, My baby is 3 months old and sleeps in her cot in our room. All the articles I’ve read says that baby cot should be next to the bed, however we only have enough space to have the cot at the end of our bed (which we keep a couple of feet away to ensure no blankets get caught between the bed and our cot). Would you still consider this in line with the recommendations? I’ve read something somewhere about parents breathing helps babies breathe, but wasn’t sure if babies need to be right beside the bed to reduce any risk.

Hi, I’m just wondering what age you can transition from sleeping bag to blankets? And also what age toddlers can sleep with their toys/comforter? I have a 16 month old sleeping in a cot. Thank you!

Hi I have a American cot mattress size saying it needs a size is 1320 by 700 but other sites says it can fit a normal size mattess of 1300 by 690 The safety standards recommend the gap is no larger than 20mm if it centered in the cot, or 40mm on one side and one end of its pushed into the corner of the cot- so would it be ok to buy a standard mattress to be ok within the guidelines?

We have a 6 week old who loves sleeping on his side, and doesn't sleep as well on his back. We are aware of recommendations to sleep babies on their backs. What is the reason for not sleeping on the side? Is this because they might roll onto their front and potentially suffocate? Or is it harder for them to maintain a patent airway when lying on their side? Some other reason? Hard to find the rationale for this recommendation.

I keep seeing a lot of advice that waterproof mattress protectors should never be used above the shoulders of the infant as they need to be able to breath through the cot mattress if they should roll in the night. Is this true? If so, do you have suggestions on how to keep the rest of the mattress sanitary?

I put my 11m old in a sleeping bag & onto her back to sleep. She rolls onto her tummy, wriggles to the top of the cot and Loves to sleep with her face in the mattress. If I turn her on her back, she moves right back to this position. What do I do to keep her safe? When she feels cold, how can I safely use a blanket if she’s moving to the top of the cot?

My baby started rolling from back to front only, just over two weeks ago. He’s now 18 weeks and still only rolling one way. We give him plenty of tummy time during the day and he can stay playing on his tummy for very long periods at a time, can use his arms to push and hold himself up, however he’s not yet able to roll from tummy to back. He keeps rolling in his sleep, and we keep waking and attempting to roll him back to his back, however every time it ends with him screaming and crying, and we end up having to get him out of bed to feed and calm him. A lot of the time when we then put him back down, he’ll automatically roll again. We’re at our wits end. Is it okay to leave him on his stomach if he’s rolling there, considering how much neck strength he has?

My four month old has started rolling from her back to her tummy. Tonight she did it for the first time in her sleep. She currently sleeps in a cosleeping bassinet - is it time to transition her to a crib and if yes may I ask the reasons for this? Thank you
