Honouring your baby or child during the holiday season

The December holiday season can be an extremely painful and difficult time for those parents who have lost a precious baby or child.

In coping with grief at this time of year, you may consider whether you want to actively remember your baby or child with a specific ritual.

Here are some ideas you might find helpful:

  • Displaying a photo
  • Lighting a candle
  • Placing a special decoration on the Christmas tree
  • Putting a present for them under the tree
  • Ordering an online memorial wreath image with your baby or child’s name on it.
  • Requesting a Red Nose in Loving Memory Tile
  • Making a donation to a charity in honour of your baby or child

Red Nose is committed to supporting families navigating the complexities of the loss of a baby or child. To access our specialised bereavement support including: counselling, peer support programs, support groups, and resources tailored to individual needs, click here.
