Join a Support Group

Find support with others who understand

At Red Nose, we understand the profound heartbreak that comes with the loss of a baby or child. If you’re struggling with grief, know that you’re not alone. Joining a support group is an important step toward healing, and we are here to help guide you through your journey.

Connect with Others

When you join one of our support groups, you will connect with other families who have experienced a similar loss. Whether you’ve lost a baby through stillbirth, experienced pregnancy loss, or faced the devastating reality of the loss of a young child, our groups offer a safe, compassionate space for you to share, listen, and heal alongside others who truly understand what you’re going through.

What Can You Expect from Our Groups?

We are deeply sorry that you need to be here, but we are committed to ensuring you feel supported and cared for. When you join our online or in-person groups, you will:

  • Connect with others: Share experiences with parents who understand your grief. You are not alone, and knowing that others are walking a similar path can be incredibly healing.
  • Find emotional support: These groups provide a non-judgmental space where you can talk about your feelings, ask questions, and express your grief openly.
  • Gain comfort: As Tanya shared, “I think from the moment I went to my first support meeting, things began to look up.” Many parents have found that these groups have made a positive difference in their healing journey.
  • Receive support from trained facilitators: Each group is co-facilitated by trained peer supporters, counsellors, or support team members. You will be supported by people who genuinely care about your well-being and have the experience to guide the conversation.

Group Details and Guidelines

Our groups meet monthly and typically last up to two hours. They are carefully structured to ensure that every participant feels comfortable and safe. Support group guidelines are provided to ensure everyone has a positive experience.

  • Online Support Groups: These sessions are conducted via video call, offering you the opportunity to connect with others from the comfort of your own home.
  • In-Person Support Groups: Held at various locations, these groups provide an opportunity to meet face-to-face with others in your community.

Important: Our facilitators are not medical professionals and cannot provide medical advice, but they can offer emotional support and valuable insights from their lived experience.
