Our daughter has clubfoot and currently sleeps with her boots & bars on at night time. Just wondering if there are any articles or information about safe sleeping for clubfoot babies with their boots & bars.

Hi, My sons 18 months old, almost 19. He sleeps with two comforters (a jellycat and a more traditional blankie with elephant head). He wears a sleepsuit but our house is freezing!! I was wondering what age is it safe to introduce a blanket? And what materials it should be. And the same for pillows, at what age? I should also mention he’s on a toddler floor bed with a firm innerspring mattress (so feels a little bouncy & softer than normal mattresses).

My 9 week old has been swaddled with a blanket across her waist tucked in. Recently, she has been wriggling up the bassinet with her head touching the head of the bassinet, along with her arms out of the swaddle. I found her last night with her arms out and sucking her thumb. Should I still be using a swaddle? She hasn't rolled yet but has been good with keeping her head elevated for a couple of minutes with tummy time, and forcefully pushes her legs into a standing position during the day. How can I keep her comfortable and safe?

Hi I am just wanting to find out about cot nets that are designed to prevent pets entering the cot. I have two cats who usually sleep in bed with me , I want to have the baby in my room with me (not in my bed in a Bassinette or cot next to me ) and of course am worried for the cats jumping in to the cot when I’m asleep or not watching. Of course I can close the door and leave the cats out, and will do so if needed, but I do think this would cause more issues and behaviours with the cats. I was interested to see several different designs of canopy nets/ pop up tent nets/ al kinds of nets for covering a crib/ Bassinette to keep a pet away. This seems in an ideal solution but I can’t find any info about this and safety , if it interferes with ventilation for the baby ? Or is a risk of falling down on the baby ? Of course I don’t want to do anything to endanger the baby when sleeping. I wonder if there are any safe recommended crib covers ? Or what is more of a risk a cat or a crib net ? Or do I just need to keep the cats out of the room ? I love the cats they are my babies , but of course the human baby safe sleep environment is most important ! There are so many prouducts marketed towards newborns and cots that are against the safety recommendations it’s very scary. I appreciate any advice about crib canopy/ crib net/ crib tent etc and cats. Thanks so much for your time.

Hi there! I’m having a baby in March. My house gets very hot in summer, particularly what will be the baby’s room. I was thinking of getting a split system installed so I can control the temperature better. Do you have any advice on this please.

Is it safe to use a baby monitor with sleep sensor pad - are these safe for babies or is it more of risk given these sensor pads are placed underneath the mattress? Note: our bassinet mattress is only 5cm - however monitor manufacturer recommends 10cm thickness for mattress (however we're unable to find bassinet mattresses of 10cm thickness) should we not use the sleep sensor pad to be on the safe side

My 6 month old is always placed on her back to sleep. Most nights she needs to be rocked to sleep and once asleep in my arms I will go to put her down in her cot, when doing so she sometimes turns her body onto her side so by the time I place her down she is already on her side and not her back. She is an extremely capable roller but my question is, should I pick her back up and attempt to place her on her back or leave her on her side?

Hello, We have a two storey house and are expecting our first baby shortly. We are wondering what to do for our baby's sleeping arrangements as there is no bedrooms downstairs. We have a cot and bassinet upstairs but dont want be taking the bassinet up and downstairs. We were wondering what would be safe for for the baby to sleep in downstairs?

My 6mo is placed on his back to sleep but rolls onto his tummy and prefers to tummy sleep for the remainder of his nap/night. At times, he moves his head to face flat down on the mattress, buried in his hands. I move his arms away and he will adjust to having his cheek on the mattress. But often reverts straight back to face sleeping and we go back and forth til he either wakes or gives up. He’s a very capable roller w/ good neck strength. How can I discourage this face sleeping? Is there anything medical I need to consider?

Hi there, i have a 4 week old newborn and am aware it is recommended that newborns sleep in the parents room for the first 6 to 12 months. However, I will be returning to work and the father will be the primary carer, so the plan was that our newborn would sleep with just the father in the room. Is it recommended that the mother is in the same room or would it be ok for just the father to be in the room? Thank you
