My baby is 8 months old and sleeps in his own cot in our room. We have recently been on a holiday where the port a cot only for in a separate room and baby slept so much better. When is it safe to transition baby permanently to his own room. Guidelines say 6-12 months but this is such a huge window of time. Do I wait the full 12 months to be safest . I want to do the very safest thing , I'm quite anxious about SIDS .
Hi, just wondering if you consider the following sleeping bags as safe: - ergoPouch Cocoon Swaddle Bag, 2 in 1 transition, converts to arms free sleeping once rolling, 0.2 Tog - ergoPouch Cocoon Swaddle + Sleep Bag, 2 in 1 transitional system (from swaddle to sleep bag using armhole poppers) 1.0 Tog
Hi, I’m a FTM and currently 24+3 weeks and I am going to follow the guidelines in regard to safe sleeping with cot set up, but I have been wondering how safe it would be to use a bassinet during the day when I’m in my living area studying (I’m also a full time uni student) so I can have my baby near me and watch them instead of putting him to bed in the cot during the day.. I realise this is just so it is more convenient for me, if it is really not recommended to do this with the bassinet being right there with me while I study, then I’ll probably resort to studying on my bed next to his cot :/ thank you for any guidance you can give, Rhiannon
My baby is nearly 5 months old and has become attached to one of my shirts. She enjoys holding the shirt and this will often soothe her to sleep. I'd like to know if it would be safe for her to have this in her cot with her if I made it much smaller, and if so, what size does it need to be. Alternatively, are there any materials which I could try to give her to replace the shirt such as a thin, breathable muslin? Thanks, Carly
