Have you heard of SMS4dads? SMS4dads helps fathers better understand and connect with their baby and partner through free text messages sent before and after birth.

As part of our commitment to giving a voice to bereaved families, we are excited to be partnering with SMS4dads to launch a new message set for those dads who have experienced pregnancy or infant loss.

Messages have been crafted based on feedback from bereaved parents around what would be helpful for dads to know following a loss.

We are now looking for parents (dads and mums) with lived experience to rate the messages and let us know what works and what doesn’t.

If you can help, you will be sent some texts like the one below and asked to rate them.

4dad: Notice something your partner is doing well and tell her about it. It is important for her to hear this now.

4dad: Doing it tough? This is the time to ask for support. Let family and friends know how they can help.

We would greatly appreciate your feedback

In order to make sure the messages are hitting the mark, we’d now like to run them by parents with lived experience. We appreciate your participation in providing feedback to help support other parents who know the devastating pain of pregnancy and infant loss.

What’s involved

If you agree to give feedback on the draft messages, you will be sent some texts like the ones above, but written for dads who have experienced the loss of a baby.

You will receive up to 12 messages and will be asked to rate them.
